START OF AN OVERHEAD CRANE WITH REFERENCE TO FLEET ANGLE ONTO GROOVED WIRE ROPE DRUM

Abstract

During uneven motions of an overhead crane or wire rope hoist, i.e. starting and braking, originate the centrifugal forces. In consequence of these forces, load suspended on crane hook lags behind or outruns the crane or wire rope hoist. This dynamical effect is in most cases undesirable and is necessary to limit it, particularly by reason of fleet angle of wire rope onto the wire rope drum.
