This article is realized in order to establish a theoretic number of the periodic inspections and repairs caused by violent damage on railway locomotives of the major transport companies in the Czech Republic. We analyzed the most remarkable cases of them. These calculations will be useful as input data for a mathematical model for finding a suitable location of the ¨proposed repair facility and also it will be applied for determination of capacity calculations.
