SOCIAL LEGISLATION AND ITS IMPACT ON PRICING IN ROAD TRANSPORT

Abstract

The paper deals with the impact of social legislation in road transport on the costs of a particular carrier and thus his price setting. The paper also compares the requirements of social legislation imposed on drivers of road transport in the EU. Furthermore, it compares them with the requirements in other selected countries (USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand). Next part of the paper highlights the impact of social legislation on the costs of carrier based on specific models, and subsequently, the impact on pricing in road transport.
